    I really like that idea, I am just to lazy to do it aha You could put the light in a canopy if you cut holes for the fans on top of the fixture

    I got my stand, I will do the plumbing tonight and hang my light tomorrow ;D

    I hung the light today! It went really well and only had to go to the hardware store once lol. I used an eye bolt to hang it so I could adjust the height to a certain extent and right now I have the fixture about 12in off the top of the tank. Now for pictures ;D

    The plumbing looks good. I see you have a ball valve on the skimmer line...one on the refuge side as well, I hope? I think that is where adjusting flow is really important.

    No, I don't have one of the fuge side, should I? I put one on the skimmer side so if needed, I could direct more flow to the fuge side. Should I switch it? Will I get enough flow to the fuge side with the T-fitting?

    Personally I would switch it. You will want the water in the fuge to be "slow-flowing" compared to the skimmer/rest of sump. Slower water flow will give more time for nutrients to be broken down by chaeto/pods.
