Thanks you guys....I will say that I've had two rimless tanks, and I think I would rather have a Euro Brace. It has everything to do with the way I get water to splash out of the tank, when I am using my cleaning magnet. It's kind of a pain.

So I decided to swap out my bulbs since some were 12 months old and some were 8 months old. I made a couple of changes in my bulbs, mainly because I kept hearing about how nice of a combo it is. So I took out one Blue+ and one ABS for a Actinic white and ge 6500K combo. We shall see.
    was:

    Front
    Blue+
    Aquablue special
    Super Actinics
    Blue +
    Aqua Science 22K
    Aqua Science 15K
    Fiji Purple
    Aqua Science 22K
    Aquablue Special
    Blue+

    Currently:
    Blue+
    Blue+
    Super Actinics
    Blue+
    Actinic White
    GE 6500K
    Fiji Purple
    AquaScience 22K
    Aquascience 15K

I have shortened the photoperiod. Dawn/Dusk will be from 230-10:00 and all bulbs will fire from 330-9pm, plus raised the light 10" from the rim of the tank.

Looks like the bulb change brightened up the tank a bit. Looks really good.

Looking great as always! Do I see a third Vortech added? I thought it was two, but could be thinking of someone else.

Thanks guys....yes I've had three Vortechs for the past 6 months. I actually have 4 if you include the MP10 in my sump, for the frags.

Looks like I will be adding one of these...[IMG]
And removing my Calcium Reactor and Kalk Reactor. I've had some low Ph problems lately, and it's because my tank demands so much effluent from the CaRx, that the Ph drops, and stays low. Tried using kalk, but now that we are in the winter months, I don't have enough evaporation to add Kalk with top off.
Got a decent FTS with my new Emperor Angel...he's a very cool fish

I'm going to try the 3 part for 6 months, and if after that time, I don't notice any improvement in Ph stability, I will go back to the reactor. I am hoping to see increased growth with the added stabilty. A lot of guys have been going to dosing 3 part, and have seen big improvements to their systems. Guys who are dosing 1-1.5 liters of two part a day. Those are large systems with mainly SPS colonies.

1-1.5 liters a day is insane for a cost factor .

im at about 70ml a day for ca and alk. I dose mg as needed. at times.

what are your dosing numbers??? Not sure if you have it dialed in already... does take some time.

Thanks guys....I got my dosing pump this week and have begun my schedule as follows. They sent me a three pump unit not the four, so right now I am dosing 18ml of Ca 20 times a day, 6ml of Soda Ash 20 times a day, and two doses of 9ml of vodka daily. My Ph has risen from an average of 7.9-8.05 to 8.1-8.25. So far so good.

The way I determined my doses was by getting my levels in check, which was normally done with my Calcium Reactor. I then tested, and took mm reactor off line. Tested twice each day, once at 6-7am then again at 7 pm. I did this three times last week, getting readings of 425 and 150ppm. After 24 hours, I found my levels to drop to 395 and 140 ppm.
