i find it funny, that in this hobby we go from....how do I get coraline to grow? I'm not seeing any growth of my (whatever)...now to, how do I stop this growth, its taking over!

funny how when we get our tanks where they need to be(parameters, lighting, etc) that our problems become, High Qaulity Problems

The only problem there is the zoas can be almost as invasive as the GSP

I have 1 soft coral rock left in my main display. There is some GSP, surrounded by green mushroom corals and zoas. I don't worry too much about the corallimorphs, as I can just kalk them if they start spreading. However the zoas are getting out of control. Not sure what to do with them... The GSP does seem trapped though, at least for now. I guess I keep it to satisfy the wild child in me. Like the thrill of keeping a dangerous predator under control I guess

yes, i could be making the same mistake that humans have continously made of introducing an animal to keep another pest animal in check only to find that the introduced animal is the bigger pest..

I use very thick kalk paste to keep mine in somewhat check. It seems to stunt its growth for a month or so then it comes back. I only cover the areas I want it to stop growing about once a month. So I am guessing if you hit it with kalk more aggressively (say once a week), it may kill it off so it will not regrow.
