need help turning 30 gallon into a sump

    Hey everyone i have a 75 gallon reef tank and was looking to turn my old biocube that i dont use into a sump for the 75.


    can anyone help me step by step with what i will need as far as supplies to do all this and what will i need put in the sump?

    just keep in mind i have never done a sump before so im really gonna need some help

    For a sump, you really don't need anything but the overflow box, some 1" PVC from the OF to the sump and maybe some 3/4" PVC and tubing back to the DT. The skimmer, heater and return pump will sit in the sump. As for the overflow box, I would get something that drains 800GPH and match it with a Mag 9.5 return with a ball valve attached just in case it's a bit much.
