I want to get rid of my plugs and permanently fix my frags to my rock work to make my tank look more presentable. the only issue is that I am not entirely sure where I should place my frags. My rock works is shapoed like a mountain coming to a point about 5 inches below the water line. I have 120 watt LEDs that are at about 65-75% output, hanging 7 inches from the waterline. I have 910 gph of flow (45x tank volume) and the two powerheads are in the top back corner facing upwards and towards the front center of the tank.

    FRAGS:

    6x Grape monti (top-rock)- growing

3x Orange-red Monti (top rock)- growing

    1x Birdsnest (top rock)- growing

    2x Frogspawn (sand)- recent addition

    1x Trumpet (sand)- splitting/growing

    1x Favia (sand)- growing

3x Zoas (sand and bottom rock)- slowly growing

1x Green star polyp (bottom rock)- not growing

    2x mushrooms (sand)- split once

If your corals are happy where you currently have them, and you are too, then after removing them from the plugs I would glue them in the same place.

well, I would like to get some of them off of the sand, but I wasn't sure which ones I should or should not move off of it.

Mushroom, zoas and favia move to the low rocks, trumpet and frogspawn I would leave on the sand maybe move to low rock.

I'm glad someone brought up this very subject, the one in the quote.

Of all my coral, I think 2 are still on plugs, and those are glued to rock.
For me, and I know it's personal, but for my DT, no frag racks, etc.
No bowls, milk crates, egg crates, etc.
Admittingly I do have my large vertical overfow, and several Powerfans, etc. All covered in corrailline, kind of blend in, which is a guess is what a rack would do to.

With hermits running around, you have to sometimes find bigger pieces of Rock to glue them to, or pick them up alot otherwise.
