The Natural Wave is a multi-cycle pump timer with six circuits that have timing patterns alternate on/off with adjustable periods of 20 seconds to 3 minutes. The third circuit has a double cycle of 40 seconds to 6 minutes. Connect powerheads or pumps and design the best wave patterns for your aquarium. These circuits provide the optimum flexibility for you to create random circulation patterns. An illuminated indicator lets you know the cycling times. The remaining three outlets are standard power outlets and can be used for accessories such as filters, lights, or heaters.

Looks like a vey good way to get the effect of changing currents with your current circulation equipment. Anyone have any experience with this product, or any additional observations?

Nice find HLQ!4, can you post a link? TIA.

I would recommend you not getting a wavemaker until you change your powerheads. Rio's really are about the worst possible pump to put on a wavemaker. And as far as wavemakers go I like the Reef Fanatic one the best followed by the Tusnami and the Red Sea.

I would think this would be very hard on your pumps. Some pumps have problems with restarting after they are unplugs occasionally. Can you imagine if they turn on and off every 30 sec. Wouldn't a SCWD be a whole lot better to use?

I don't have a reef tank so I have never looked into wave makers before.
