    how about svobb. (don't ask how to pronounce it, I am under the impression all algae common names are impossible to pronounce)

    (it is short for saltwater version of baby breath)

    You said something fu man chu like. How about yong mei hong. It doesn't sound great, but the chinese meaning has to do with the color (I speak some mandarin)

    it had reminded of the beard, somebody also suggested sakura - not sure which language, but I am told it means cherry blossom. Hopefully I haven't said something embarassing in another language. :)
