Is it hard to program the Typhon? Or does it come with some presets?

It would be cool to make a box for the Typhon and make it into a hand-held. :p

Can you guys take the Typhon Controller into a PM? I don't want my thread to get hijacked and this is a RapidLED build... :D

UMM, if ya can tie shoes ya can program the typhon! It's kinda like programming a watch! press this button to program this channel, then navigate through each channels options, start time, fade in time, max intesity, duration of max, fade out time, for 4 channels, then a lower 4 channels! I think it took me 2 minutes or so to set it up, then about 45 seconds to switch it as i acclimate my corals! Now if ya want custom programs, ya plug it into your comp and get into some real program writing! its got many options to expand, I just dont care about them to learn! I'm happy with sunrise and sunset, and extreme ease of use! I'll let others scare the crap out of their fish with thunderstorms!;)

    Way to go!

Great Build! Great post! I am actually about to tackle almost the same project except mine wont be dimmable, I am not into my tank yet :). But why did you use a moonlight kit from Rapidled over the 3 led and driver that just came in the stock hood?

Love the build! I will be ordering my kit here in a few minutes!

    Thanks!!!

I didn't use the stock LEDs because there was really no way to mount them. You literally need to gut the entire hood to fit the kit inside there.
A moon kit is completely optional IMO, but I like seeing my corals and fishes at night so that's why I did the moon kit.

    Have fun in your build!
