Nice work sir, I love the hue the cyan adds to it. Guess I'll be swapping something out for some of those! Guess some CW's will be popping off and I'll end up soldering after all on this build, unless rapid has some plug and play on the way!?

    Looks great though man!

    Great turn out so far!

    Question:
    -does the heatsink get hot?
-do the cyans look real 505nm? Which color is it in the sample pic below?

    Thanks!
I took a pic of the led when I was building it, I will post that pic tonight. It's been a while since iv only looked at the cyan led so it's hard to pick from a line up. ;)

    Total led count: 32 led

Heat output with white/cool white @ 39%,blue/royal blue @ 50% and Violet "UV"/Cyan @ 100% my heat sink runs at 113.2F. Mike from rapid said it should be around 110 but 3.2F more I think should be okay.

This may help, let me know. It's a top down shot of my tank. You will see all the LEDs running but the Cyan is visible dead center.

Oh good to hear that it's running cool! The diode itself should be fine up to 150F, so if the heatsink is around 110F, its more than okay!

Thanks! I have 4 fans on them, I'd be shocked if heat ever became an issue.

    Did the pic help?

Thanks for the pic! (you totally went ninja on me I didnt see the top down pic first time)

But the cyan looks more like green... Cyan is VERY touchy spectrum and most visible to human eyes.. well my turquoise is very green too, but my corals are happy, so Im happy too.

At first I thought I had green leds! I had to google the color cyan to verify I had the right LEDs. ;)
