You can see the new growth in the pics (the lighter pieces obviously)...that light area was NOT there before the TaoTronics went on...that is all new growth

I am about to buy these. Is it hassle turning on just the blue then white every day? Or do you have it on a timer? Do they come with a hanging kit?

In your opinion, what kind of spread are they producing? And at what height?

NOt to hijack, but to chime in since I also have them, I have my blues on a timer, and the whites on a timer.

Yes, they come with a nice hanging kit that attachs 4 points on top up to 1 S hook.

They advertise 120 degree LED's. I have mine 8 inches about the water level, and the light spread certainly gets higher up than my old PC's did 2 inches off the water.

My sps are about 13-16 inches below and they are taking off and loving it.

    You're welcome.

For me IMHO, in my large family room with my very tall ceiling 18ft, the fans are not loud at all. MY wife has yet to mention it. Of course for me, at night they are off anyways.
I think the fan noise is a personal thing. They are certainly not silent, but not bad either. My sump is in my stand, so there's some noise there also.

YOu saw the post about the apparently same model with individual dimmers? The model I don't have.

There are more white lights than blue? Does it look to white? I wish they had moon lights built in

They are 10" above my water...and i'd say the light cone is a good 2.5' area....it spreads out further than that..but intense light is about that.
