My new Deresa clam

    Please post a pic of the clam, showing the shell.

    I can say I have never seen derasa's with that coloration, but the real proof is the shell.

    I will go get some shell pics. I was going to post a photo of my crocea and the new"deresa" clam. I know the blue one is a crocea, the "deresa was taken from a different angle this morning, than it was taken when I originally posted it. I will be back in about 10 mins with new photos of each shell.

    Ok here are the shells on each clam. Does that help with a positive id? I want to know for sure. I would like to have 1 of each type of clam in my tank. So if they are both croceas I may sell one.

    I do not think your crocea is an actual crocea. I thought their shells were smooth.

    yea me too. my maxima has the exact same shell as that.

    I can't believe i took so long after he posted the pics of the shell to say the same thing.

    That is a maxima, not a crocea.
