Thats a Acanthastrea Lord mushroom man. They are awesome but very rare. The typical cost is around $20-30 a polyp with colonies ranging in the few hundereds. They are however pretty easy to care for. Take a look on ebay.

Yup ! You got it! Acanthastrea Lordhowensis...the prices are coming down...slowly...

I like LPS and I really like this one...(have to post a new pic...it has gotten much poofier) but I am not going to spend $500 bucks! I spent $30 and that is fine with me. It will grow quickly ;D

Very nice bird lady I have been checking them out myself Looking for a deal. The owner of my LFS just bought 2 colonies for his tank at home. he paid
$700.00 for each colony. I am trying to make a deal with him on selling me a polyp or two ;D ::)

Hey, thanks for the website!!! I am getting ready to order an orange crush from this guy..

    www.fragglereef.com

He is in my reef club and prefers local pick up ;D

All in good time.....I may have to order some stuff from that roesmarineworld..they had lots of colors!!!

I also got a red and green fungia and a favia this weekend...gotta take some pics ;D

Good luck with the elegance coral...they are so beautiful, yet I am afraid to get one. They have not had good luck over the last 5 years or so...

Perhaps because we have strived to keep our tank water cleaner and cleaner...and they hail from lagoon waters which are more nutrient rich...I don' t think anyone really knows why they have been doing poorly lately.

Let us know how you do with it.
