My new 42g reef build

Im plannin to add marine pure brick instead of lr... so deciding on it..

 

It doesn't matter what you add unless you give it time to build the necessary bacteria to aid in biological filtration. That brick will probably cause you more nitrate issues down the road. I would slow down and add live rock to the display. Rock in the sump will just be a detritus trap. I wouldn't add anymore livestock for a while.

 

Whats the diff between marine pure and lr? Dont u think marine pire is more porous then a lr?

 

One of the clown eats a few pellets, then the rest it spits out. The other spits out all... what can be the reason? Im feeding nls thera A and nls algaemax. What should i do? Do they really take somuch time? Iv never had this issue before..

 

For one your gonna have it in the sump and it will collect nothing but detritus. Live rock in the tank has flow. Having to much of a pourus surface with no flow to keep it clean will cause problems.

 

I have decent flow in the sump too.. i have a power head for internal flow and alao have made a diy canister style reactor for phosguard and matrix carbon..
