Those blues, when by themselves, are intense aren't they!

It's not a dslr advantage/disadvantage. Shoot in raw and adjust the kelvin.

I know that, but most non-DSLR cameras can't shoot in raw. ;)

It sure is taking Vinny a long time with the post-processing though....

The lights came well packaged in a plain brown box. Included was the power cords, hanging kit,and a small booklet with basic info and warranty.
I have heard others complain about the lights not hanging straight or being difficult to get level. I had no issues but used two brackets instead of one to help stabalize it. So far I am in love with the effects of this light. I have it hung 5 inches from the waters surface and it seems like one will indeed be enough for the LPS and softies in my system. I will keep lower light corals on the periphery. I have not moved my toadstool so I will keep my eye on it because of its location and need for a stronger light source.I have also heard complaints about the fans being noisy. I am not sure if Taotronics have since changed the fans but I can barely hear them. Heat is almost non existant and love the way they look over the tank.I did use the included hanging kit but reinforced the crimp connectors with some u bolts/nuts.

My Gorgonian is getting so big I will have to cut it soon.

Toadstool is open but I may have to move it.

I will keep updating this thread from time to time about my progress and observations. I will also be adding some more pics to my build thread when I have finished adding more corals and cleaning my overflow. I want to give my fish a break for a day or two as I have had my hand in there for the last two days.

Looking real good, Vinny. Weird about the fans, mine are very loud. I think you're right about moving the Toadstool. The light looks small over the tank, but without optics, the spread is very wide. Nice job!

When you figure how to take good pictures with the blues, LMK. ;D
