    oh thats horrible!

But - i have had 2 fish die on me in my rockwork and i have never removed them from the tank. If your tank is mature enough it should handle the spikes. Your cleaner crew will take care of the carcass.

I usually have so much rock in my tanks if it does die in or behind the rocks there it stays , Crab food :) I seldom have ever been able to remove anything that dies. Unless it floats up or out :) Never saw any issues other then the ORP was falling off a bit.

Man, I am sorry. I had to put one of my fish in the freezer when it got to the point of no return. Hard thing to do. Karma for your loss.

the fish is still alive.its actually not looking that bad.if it starts to get thin i'll take it as a sign of starving and freeze it.its very ugly with its empty eye sockets.its colors coming back.i think i'll put it in the sump if it makes it.

unexpected factors came into play.yesterday the blind fish left the corner of the tank that it knew and got bit in several places by other fish.it lost alot of color and i decided putting it in the sump injured and in another place it did'nt know would not be umane.its not right to keep it alive to avoid feeling bad for killing it so i did the fish in bag of water in freezer thing.

Aw, that sucks! Better off that way, I suppose.

Maybe you can keep it for 20 or so years until science has progressed to the point where he can get some new eyes, teeth, paint job, etc.

    Karma for ya, Ziggy.
