I did a half rapid led half chinese build for my 4 foot tank and so far it's been doing fine. You can see my build under my threads if you want. I used 2 14k 30 watt leds from china and 12 royal blue crees around them for a total cost of about 300 if not a little under. I've had it going for a year and corals have been doing great, the only bad thing is my xenia basically took over my tank.

My DT and I are still very happy with these lights. Becasue my DT is my family room, with rather lagre windows that always have the blinds up, My DT gets some dusk to dawn effect- the real one. I run my blues aboutr 10hrs, and the whites added in 8 hrs, giving the blues only for an hour before and after the whites. Pretty standard I think.

I needed lights quick, and didn't even know about the dimmable ones at the time. I'm still real happy, so are my fish, corals, inverts, etc. Even my Green pocillipora is really green again!

    Thanks to all who posted.

Glad you like them! I just got mine tuesday but haven't really had a chance to get them on the tank.

They are SUPER bright. Having separate dimmers lets you adjust your color temp pretty well. I am thinking about running the whites at 30% and the blues at 50-60%. We'll see which looks better.

I saw a vid on the dimmable ones, sorry, don't have a link,

He didn't adjust the dimmers during the video either, just showed them and his tank.
