    Nice, you scored!

I'm thinking about getting some and selling/trading mine.

Anybody need a nice LED, works perfectly, less than a year old?

    Newest Mod.

I took a Blue plastic folder, cut it into strips, and slid it under the housing and lens.

I covered 2 or 3 of the six rows of white with the blue plastic, so it puts out blue light, not covering the light like I did before.

    Works good

now with covering all these lights aren't you making the spectrum different? or would the light have less effect on the tank?

I mean its not like you're turning the white lights you cover into 455nm blues just by covering them with something blue lol

I'm just curious if the lights are working as well now as they would be with out the covering, I realize the lights are more white with out but are they as effective with thats all

I only covered 2 or 3 of the 6 rows of whites with the clear blue plastic.
I also have a clear yellow on one. There are still 3-4 white strips, and the 5 blue strips of LED's.

And yes, they seem to be working well

Got a hold of a PAR meter and the dimmer hardly changes the PAR. With both channels cranked im at about 500-520 at the top of my rock (5-6" below top of glass) on a 20" tall. Sandbed is about 190-220. If I turn the whites all the way down it only moves -200 PAR to the 300 range.
