My blue hippo tang has ich!! Please help!!

Garlic Xtreme by Kent Marine, it is a liquid. Just put a few drops on the food before feeding and let it soak in. I also use kent Marine Vit.C. This will help as long as it is eating it will be ok. Give it time and it will go away.

 

copper will work but not worth the negative side effects.

 

Ocean Nutrition has a green Marine algae (dried) with garlic added, Or Omega One has Marine pellets with garlic also.

 

Dont use copper!!!!!!!!!! if you value your tank dont do it!!!!!!!! You are wasting your tank qand going to destroy it dont do it....

 

ditto on the copper wii ruin your tank for stuff you may want to add in the future hippos are ick magnets follow the advice you have been given you will be fine young jedi

ok i just got that kent garlic xtreme. If anyone has used it... how much do i use and how often?

 

My hippo tang had ich the first couple of days I had it so I picked up a cleaner shrimp and that guy is cleaning the hippo every day, I think the hippo quite likes it. I have not had a problem since I put in the shrimp and I had no need to use any chemicals.

 

i bought a cleaner shrimp and a peppermint shrimp a few weeks ago. The same day the peppermint shrimp died (not sure why) and about a week later the cleaner shrimp died. I was actually thinking about getting more but idk.
