Thanks for all of the replys!

I just finished putting the final coat of urethane on. Its looking pretty nice! I am pleased with the final result as this is really the first time I attempted to build anything out of wood(except for speakers boxes in high school :p), or stain anything.

As for the rest of the setup:
    -20 gallon sump/fuge
-drilled tank (3/4" return, 1" overflow)
    -Rio 2500 return pump
-AcuaC Ramero w/Maxi-Jet 1200 (placed in sump)
    -3 maxi-jets on natural wave timer (600, 900, & 1200)
-4 24" VHO T12 lights (plan on adding a 175 watt MH if I can fit in in my canopy)
-Current USA 25 watt UV sanitizer
    -"Ebay Special" RO/DI setup

Im sure Im missing something, but I'll keep everyone posted as I put it all together over the next few weeks.

Great satisfaction in building your own stand and canopy.

I did my own also, with about the same lack of experience.

Probably built it 5X stronger then had to be. Also probably spent way more on it then if I just went out and bought it...

But was great fun and enjoy today much more by doing by self.

    Again, good job.

lol...thats exactly why I built the new stand. The stand I bought with the tank is literally 6 pieces of particle board with 8 screws holding it toghether.

I would rather have 5x or more strength then a stand Im worried about collapsing at any time. I could park a tank on my new stand and not worry about it!
