    Yeah, just got my new bulbs in and the Ca/Mg test kit that I had ordered on Friday. Needless to say this was my first time testing the Mg and Ca levels, so I was pretty happy with them. Going to get some RO/DI water going and I'll add some Ca. I will test the water in the morning and post some results :)

    I'll probably add some baking soda/laundry booster in the morning to get the DKH up to 14, think thats a good move or let it hold at 12.25?

    You have a Ca reactor going on it yet?? If you do then just wait and your dKH will probably go up with it running.

    I would wait on adding anything to increase the dKH right now and see what it does in the next week. 14 is good, it's about where mine is now.

    Just got done another water test,

    Salinity = 1.025

    Ca = 490
    Mg = 1420
    DKH = 12.25

    I'm pretty happy with the results :)

    Added more base rock to my tank, thought I'd share some pictures!

    For the most part I'm done adding rock now, just going to sit back and watch it come to life :). I'm starting to see Carolline Algae popping up on some of the white base rock, and a lot of it's starting near the bottom edges of the tank on the glass.

    :cheesy: Soon to come!

    Pictures of my DIY Canopy that I'll be making. I'm in the process of ordering the lighting supplies through Tangster, in the end I'll have 2 250w Metal Halogens with 2 110w VHO Super Acintics. 720w total! I'll probably start building some tomorrow, but we'll see :thumb_up:.
