on when we say cooking the rock this dosn't literaly mean cooking it it is more a term used for a type of curing of the rock basicly letting it sit out in the sun and dry out for a week or so then puttting it in a large tote to cure it and get it ready for life in the tank

Oh good thing, because my wife came home from work and saw some of the live rock on cookie sheets in the oven and STARTED to yell out loud at me.

I was so scared I took them out of the oven and placed them outside on the deck, I hope the sun can cook the rest tomorrow.

Sometimes I wonder why my wife has to worry about my live rock in the
oven, that just makes me so upset.

Again, Im not kidding and there is nothing funny about this, I'm very new to this hobby and people have told me to ask all the questions that are on my mind.

I'm sorry you feel like I'm wasting others time.

I want to know about cooking rock so the chia pet syndrome doesn't get into my tank.

    Please let's be reefer friendly.

I'm certain that our Friendly Neighborhood Moderators will take care of things when they log on tomorrow. Not that I'm not all for a little power from the people...but sometimes it's just easier to let things get flushed (yes, like so much cr@p) out on their own...
