It is a dry heat, yeah right !
No not at all those are awesome updates. My Mp made a huge difference in my tank, I have heard excellent things about the Gyre. I think you'll be very happy with RapidLED upgrade.

I have a fighting conch, some dwarf ceriths, nassarius, and Florida somethings.

That last one is the scientific name I believe. ;)

I have seen lots of reviews stating that because there is little clearance between the blades and grate of the gyre snails can get in and destroy the blades. Keep us updated and keep a close eye on it.

I have to return to Thailand. My roommate will be watching over the tank, but if something were to go wrong, are you around?

Details on the trip to come.

Received a mcckoskers wrasse and a mandarin today. I requested the sender provide the SG of the shipping water so i could get my QT water to this level. They would not provide it and only have me a range, 1.018-1.021. It arrived at 1.018 so had to make quick adjustments in the QT for the wrasse.
Upon opening the box, the wrasse looks not so great. Rather lethargic and won't even go hide. Looked dead in the bag but he is alive.
The mandarin i was too concerned with the QT process and by some recommendations decided to not QT the mandarin but now knowing the SG of the shipping water i am concerned with the salinity swing he will go through during acclamation.
    Hopefully everything will work out.
