My 120g Tank

now brown algae is growing very fast on my sand is due to new light, please help

 

well, you'll need to find out where the extra nutrients are coming. I might reduce the photoperiod for a little bit.

also, be sure you have good flow going throughout the tank.

 

ok i will keep light for lesser time and my flow is good but my lfs guy told me that its not a live sand that's why brown algae growing on it.
my sand is normal one used in fresh water tank is this really due to the sand or i have to change with live one.

 

if you have live rock, then your sand will have life - it's not due to the sand imo

 

Till fighting with the brown algae brought pink zoa looks cool

its not that fine, but now that brown algae is slowly vanishing. hope its goes away and don't come back
