I know how you feel I had a huge hairy mush room that is now several small hairy mushrooms because I rubber banded it to tight. Oops. But they're all healthy and growing.

Mine was a small but very nice hairy mushroom as well.... still haven't found it. But it's my fault so.... just move forward.

As a new guy to corals, where is a best place to put mushroom corals, do they like lighting and currents?

I Would Use Reef Glue To Secure The Mushroom To The Frag Plug

just use a rubber band to attach a new mushroom to a rock or plug. Glue will not work

What I have found to work great is placing the frag in a cup of rubble for a few days to a week. They will attach themselves to a rubble piece and at that point you can place them in your tank. But civic is correct reef glue or super glue will not work with mushrooms. Thank you guys for all the hell and sorry for the late response.

Low light med to low flow. Unless it's ricordias then its low to med flow low to medium light.... This is from what I have found in my tank.
