This Poll idea comes as an off shoot of Matt's How many Watt over your tank Poll. I kept seeing that nearly everyone had done a good job matching light to the size of their tank. The real key is the size of the tank often effects equipment selection etc. It got me wondering what size is the most popular or frequently used tanks. I saw a lot of 180s. Lets see!

My experience with my 125 and 12 gal nano shows me just as much satisfaction can be had with any size tank.

    Smaller/Larger??? ---:-/

Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

I in fact would be quite surprised if there really was any kind of "most popular size."

Once upon a time I might have said how much I would like a 300+ gallon system.

I realize now how lucky I am that my latest addition is just a 12 gallon Nano. :p

Probably for most, like me, it is based on space, budget, time, luck and Gods's blessing.

But most importantly, being very happy with whatever I have!

I think a 180 is about the perfect size for a tank. With the 24" dept it give pleanty of room for your rock and not make it look cluttered.

    84L x 24W x 30H (265g) = Perfect all glass aquarium.. :)

I love my 72 bowed, our 29, and now our new Nano Aquapod 24. Not to mention our Malawi Cichlid tanks....I now have 28 babies from a mated pair of Snow White Zebras(2 broods)...8)...I do think that more and more marine/reef enthusiasts are going for larger and larger tanks..I know I want at least a 200g setup in the next few months...

I like my 90g, its not too big and not too small, its just right. I dont think I could handle a bigger tank. Not b/c of the work but more like the $$$$.
