So I have come to a point in my life where I have decided it is just silly for me to go up to my DT at night to watch my fish with a flashlight.

So, I am looking for moonlights that i can fit into my diy t5 setup. So if anyone has any that they like I would appreciate you letting me know what you would recommend. TIA

I super glued a couple blue LEDs on the front part of my t5 fixture. I use the same thing on my 220. I'm not a fan of bright lights.

Do you remember where you got the leds you are using and did you have a driver for them as well?

This is what I have over my 150. Not extremely bright, but does the job well.

    R2 Solutions Extreme LED Moonlights

I would definitely buy again if I wasn't going the True Moon cycle version for my Apex.

Yes, power supply is sold separately. One can power up to 12 lights. Splitter is not required; each light has a male and female connector for daisy-chaining.

If your 55 is a standard 4-foot tank, I would guess 2 should be plenty. I get good coverage from just 1. I had originally ordered and applied 3, but that was much too bright (I actually took pictures under them before pulling the plug on 2 units).
