montipora losing color

    i'm sorry i didn't see your tank levels, chemical wise. in general a red cap is a red cap it turning pink in my opinion is not good, i'm sorta a monti nut it's my main coral group, they like high doses of calicum, med to high light, and strong water movement, if you have alot of sps, lps, coral and protein skimming can use up alot of chemicals that are in your salt mix and maybe using one more than the others, this may be the one your cap needs the most. the cap also maybe use to high intense lighting like mh going to t8 or t5 maybe the problem, i'm just trying to give a reasonable explanation to the color change, any time i see a color change it worrys me, i go into do everything mode. water changes, move the coral up or down, add 2part, add or take away lighting times, check my ro water to see if its still pure, temp of water, i also don't trust any salt mix to be perfect
