Mini Fuge for BioCube DIY Thread w/ Pics

    Okay so here we go.... First id like to thank Mobalized for his original thread involving this build. ** Please note, this is a build in progress and should be completed by 2/8/2012. **

    What you need to build drill less overflow:

    5ft - 1in PVC Pipe (Cut x2 14 inch pipes & 1x 13in pipe)
    6 - 1in 90 degree bens
    1 - 1in T fitting
    1 - 1in end cap

    ** Also you will need **

    5.5 Gallon Tank
    Sicce Syncra 2.0
    3/4 to 1/2 tube adapter
    3/4 all plastic check valve
    Filter sock
    1in ball valve
    Acrylic w/ cutter & Aquarium Glue
    Fuge Media

    Lets build this thing already!!...

    Draw out idea onto paper, this always come in handy down the road.

    Install baffles into tank

    Test baffles for water hold. (I used Purple Up as a contrast)

    BOOM, tank done!!

    Build and test overflow.

    Test overflow, make sure everything is tight and there are no gaps.

    You will need to remove sponge holder in the bottom of chamber 3

    Cut back of hood to allow PVC pipe to fit.
    (PICTURE COMING SOON!!)

    Test PVC in chamber 3

    Install hood to check for clearance

    Overflow molded to tank (Not yet glued or painted)

    Cut holes into stand for water in/out & fans to control humidity and cooling. (Sadly all the time I spent on wiring was torn apart, don't worry tho it will be looking pretty after the build.

    That's awesome! So what happens if the siphon stops? Power outage?

    Thats the point of the overflow, it restarts.

    The overflow will start back up when the pump turns on. Also there is a 3/4 check valve installed right off the return pump.
