can I get a source for the 30" as I was under the impression the penetration of t5's drop off after 24 inches much like a 250 halide. and only 400 halides hit 30 inch and beyond decently(excluding 1000 halides).

I was under the impression that 4 t5s were good up to 20 inches depth pen. and a 8 bulbt5 was good up to 30 inches of depth pen. and i thought the 250w halides were good up to 24 inch. depth pen. and the 500w wee good up to 36 inch depth pen. Please anyone correct me if im wrong but thats what iv been told.

No T5HO in a top of the line fixture is good to 30". You are right on the rest.

I have been wanting to add individual reflectors to my t5s. How much and what does this improve?

Hellolights have them. They greatly increase the light being directed to the tank. Something on the order of 40% to 45% more.
