    The AI sol is incredible but way out of my price range. I think I'd need to spend about 1500 for that.

    Why would that shorten diode lifespan? LEDs are meant to be able to handle that. They can handle variable voltage with no problem.

    Make sense no. There's just no way dimming will shorten life. Maybe if dimming was continuous, but the point of of them being dimmable is to either set the light to the blend you want, or for sunrise/sunset. The first option means you'd be running them at a lesser current than their max rating, which would extend life. The second option is only putting 2 "dim cycles" per day on the diodes, and there's no way that will significantly affect life.

    its a 46 gallon bowfront that is 36"L x 16.25"W x 20"H and I was looking more along the lines of a fixture with a timer rather than boost led par 30s.

    Those aqua illuminations would not be enough to cover the whole tank. They are about 12 inches in length. I would need at least 2 or 3 of those fixtures.
