    got a skimmer and i'm gonna be honest and say i dont know what a fuge is orr any of the other things lol

    i would recommend not putting in any sps... also, you are going to have to upgrade your lighting to MH or t5 or LED

    just stick with some softies. zoas come in every color you can think of and they grow fast

    if you want to hate it in about a year... then yes lol

    but really, it takes over your tank so be careful

    Then you're not going to be able to do SPS. For a tank this size, you really need every last ally to pull it off.

    ok well what is a fuge then? and the other things he listed? and how long should one wait after there tank cycles to put the clam in?

    Ummmm, guys, a maxima clam can grow to be over a foot long. Not the best choice for an 8g tank, even if the ideal parameters were maintained. If you have enough lighting, you could try a crocea clam, which only grows to about 6" on average.

    ok thanks jjk yeah that would be a problem considering my tank is only 15" long lol that would pretty much take up the whole tank same requirments as a maxima?
