So I have this maroon clown that I've had for about two years, over the last couple months its stripes are turning yellow. Haven't changed foods or anything. Is this normal?

The maroon clown we had in the 75 gal was a "gold banded" maroon....ie. the strips were yellow...but as to why they would change...???

Here is a pic from today... (This fish hardly stops moving so it was hard to get a good shot.)

Cool! I always thought the yellow stripe clowns were so pretty, I'm glad I finally got one! :)

They will probably get a more intense yellow in time.

Indeed, absolutely correct on both counts. The only little bummer (sort of) is that means the fish is in it's latter years, which may be a while, let's hope for a good couple of more years.

Not sure how much size has to do with age but it's barely 2" and I've seen some pretty big gold striped maroons so hopefully he/she has a while. :)
