    Hey guys i have a 40g reef, i would like to know howmany mp2c blocks i can use? the data on the site is pretty confusing.

    For these products, use as much as you can fit.

    Its just providing surface area for beneficial bacteria. The more you have, the more surface area. I suggest keeping it in an area of low flow, to prevent detritus from getting trapped, but not too strong so as to prevent anerobic areas from forming.

    I would avoid using this and simply add live rock to the display. That brick will become a nitrate factory.
