too long to load...#8 I see it is red grape algae aka botryocladia occidentalis most likely - NOT the pest species of botryo.

I can only help on the molluscan questions. #5 is probably an oyster of one type or another, although from the single view, it could actually be a scallop. It's probably either a Pinctada species (the Pearl Oyster family) or a Spondylus (but I can't see any sculpture in the pic). #6 is an Astraea rather than a Trochus. It's in the Turbo family. #16/17 is a keyhole limpet, probably one of the species in the genus Diodora. They primarily eat cryptic sponges.

    Cheers,

    Don

    01- button polyps

02- looks like some type of non-photosynthetic dendrophyllia of some kind

    03- same

    07- Anthelia

08- Looks like the beginning of red grape caulerpa(good)

09- I'm going to guess some kind of trachyphyllia

10- Looks like briopsis(very bad) growing on halimeda(sp)

    11-Halimeda(sp)

12- Aptasia and some feather dusters

    13- Coralimorph :)

    14- Baby trachyphyllia...?

17- Kind of looks like dinoflagelettes to me, the air bubbles are usually a dead giveaway.

I do not agree that 7 is anthelia. In that pic alone, it does look like it might be, but when I look at your other pics, I see this stuff spread all around.

Anthelia has longer 'tentacles' than that. These are all short tentacle like Xenia.

well here are some pics to help out ;)

    xenia -

    Anthelia -
    [IMG]

notice how the xenia stalks are much longer and thinner than anthelias are, these look like anthelias that have not been fully acclimated yet. But call them what you want, there still cool looking either way :)
