Mandarin question and how much to feed?

    Like mentioned on the suspended jar. This works very well I have successfully got 2 mandarins to eat new life spectrum pellets this way. Now thy love them and come out to eat them anytime I throw them in the tank. They just scoot around eating the ones that fall to the bottom. Have food in there as often as possible but clean often enough that it doesn't rot.

    Just to get the fish eating and get some weight on it, try live blackworms. Most mandies love them, but feed them sparingly as they don't survive long in SW. You can also try live gut-loaded Artemia.

    The mandy I kept for over 8 years ate both of these foods with gusto, and once it started eating, it pretty much ate anything.
