I am going to use argonite.

Craig did you use a fine sand or something like the caribsea caribflor special grade? I was thinking of using the finer stuff in my fuge 'cause critters like it. :D

I'll be using the special grade in the display tank!! ;)

I used the smallest stuff the LFS had. He buys it in bulk and you can get as little or as much as you need.

Now, I know the sealant leaves a little to be desired in the "beauty" department, but I was going for bracing against the water flow as opposed to appearance....

    And one more....

That looks like a Refugium/Sump to me!!! Good Job!!! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

My sealant job is messy too. How are you supposed to seal the bottom, and the front and back of both sides without getting messy?

I got my 'fuge up and running day before yesterday w/ 2 pieces of live rock. It actually had a low ammonia reading today. Now time to be patient!! This will give my Skimmer a needed break-in period!! ;D

The sump does look funny with a little bitty RIO pump in it compared to the MAG 9.5 that will end up as the return pump. ;D The little RIO is fine just for the sump though. It's going to be my auto-topoff pump once the display is online.

The tank will be up and running in about three weeks. I'm still curing the base rock and waiting for $$ for the substrate. I think I'm just going to run the display tank with a couple of PowerHeads until the few pieces of Live Rock I am putting in seed the rest of the base rock. ;)

I'm considering adding about 5 pounds of GARF Grunge to add in some different coralline and some cool  8)critters that always come with their mixture. (Garf, of course, wants you to buy at least a pound per gallon of water. IMHO, that is overkill when you can seed a tank with a small amount if you are patient, much as JohnO is doing with his new set-up. John is just using some live rock.) [smiley=yaknow.gif]
