I received a mature green bird wrasse that I now have in my tank that has a growth on it's long snout. When I read through this site, Marine Fish Diseases and Parasites there's a picture of a wrasse that looks very similar to my fish, a picture of which is attached. The site suggests it's lymphocyctis virus, but all definitions suggest that it's white spots. What is this thing on it's "snout"? My water parameters are much better than that which it came from, and yet it's starting to grow, and is now hanging in its mouth. I'm afraid it will impact its eating ability. Please help!

Yes, he eats like a horse, if that analogy applies to marine fish. But he strikes his head against the overflow, so the growth must be bothering him and I want to help him if I can.
