I have no idea what happened.
My blenny ate every day, was very active, had nothing on its body

He was awesome and with such character

    He just disappeared
    Was not seen for hrs
    Didn't come out to eat

It wasn't until the moonlights were on before I saw it.

My pom pom crab was dragging out the body from the blenny's rock.
    Some how he died

Could the pom pom's do it or was it just cleaning up?

my guess is it was cleaning up. I don't believe pom poms are aggressive but I guess any crab could be......there are times when fish just die for apparently no discernible reason - one of the down sides to this hobby....I'm sorry for your loss

    Thank you.
It did suck. He was such a cool fish with so much personality.

I'm pretty certain the pom pom didn't do it as I've had it for mnths, I'm happy he did his job.

My clowns lonely now, the blenny was hos swimming buddy

Hello I'm new to the site and seen this post and it made me think of a wrasse I had. I still till this day have no idea what happened to him. He was happy and healthy one day and gone the next. I know he died but don't know from what. I'm sorry about your blenny.

Thats the same thing as my situation. Blenny was great just went into his rock for bed and didn't reappear until the pom pom dragged the body out.

I have seen my pom pom crab go after hermits lately...i'm now wondering if he murdered the blenny cause the blenny had no signs of illness.

I know fish die for no apparent reason but it sucks...he was an awesome fish

I'm going to guess no, considering that he was dragging the dead fish out of it's own den so long after it went missing. It's not uncommon for rival CuC members to show some aggression toward each other; I had a coral-banded shrimp that actually killed my emerald crabs. He also pushed hermits around on occasion, but he never once went after fish, snails, or anything else.
