looking for a nice lps coral

    The picture doesn't show the way it fluoresces orange.

    Would need a heavy duty band saw to frag it. It's skeleton is about 6" x 2" x 4" solid rock. I'm not fragging it. It grows too slowly.

    I bought it at Birds and Beasts in CL. Was one of my first corals.

    I also piked up a nice trachyphyllia brain and a beautiful purple pagoda cup.... will post some pics soon of em.

    Nice pieces. I've read the flower pots are tough to keep alive. keep us posted on how it does. I'd love to get one but have been reluctant to since the success rate is low.

    This is true.... I knew this when I had picked it out. But not all goni's are the same... different species. Seems different species do fairly better thatn others....

    I know they like nutrient rich environments...mine isnt.

    But with the feeding I don on my corals with rods coral food and reef nutrition oyster feast I beleive I should have some success with em.
    Also had read they like a pod infested environment. My tank at night looks like a sandstorm with em.

    advanced aquatics...... they have another nice purple one. Mines red.

    Yea rods coral food. just got it. Im using only a pinch. Not sure actuall how much of it I should be using.

    Are you familiar with rods coral food?
