I would try to just get a BoostLED type PAR30 and spotlight it if you start to notice it reaching.

Yea the anemone used to reach up and inflate before he got "sick"
So your saying the Salt Mix provides Iodine, I usually mix it with distilled water
and to equalize the ph i use the ph Buffer in the mix.
or would it be better to use the RO water from the LFS

I would defineatly use RO from the LFS, tap water has chlorine, copper etc. which is very bad for inverts and corals.
I'd cut the idodine and get a reef specific salt mix with more trace elements. Other than that, give it more light and voila!

How long have you have the flame scallop in your tank?
They are not easy to keep, but it could be done.
It is really cool though ;)

No need for a head unit, they plug directly into any old fixture. Actually you will find that is pretty cheap for LED, and good value. You never have to replace them.
Lets say you replace your 32 watt PC every 6 months @ 25$ per bulb.
Thats less than a year, and then you don't have to pay for bulbs!
