    I feel ya, almost did a small saltwater, but I want him to learn and like fish, and a 5g saltwater tank is not a good tank for a 8 year old to learn with;) but yeah, i feel ya;)

    Yea a sw that small wouldn't work well. I will prob set up a few again when it's my turn to set up a kids tank, let them learn about the hobby and how to do maintenance

    Great little starter tank.

    My daughter started with something similar and has graduated to a 10 gallon with two goldfish. Have to "remind" her to keep it clean and change out the filter media, but I'm sure it's lessons learned that she will take with her if/when she starts her own aquarium someday. I'm sure your son will do the same. :)

    Boy talked me into getting 2 degu's today, which basically look like little squirrels.

    How many different animals are you up to now, Cosmo?

    2in10 is right. I'm sure you could make some good money if you just turned your house into a zoo :lol:

    lol I'm down right now, last year at this time I had an 8' red tailed boa and a rose breasted cockatoo;)

    and I've been told that before;) I'm a sucker for critters

    right now the list is;
    cat
    chichuahua
    white boxer
    lab mix
    2 Degus
    90g
    5 g mantis
    3 g seahorse
    5 g fresh
    2000g koi pond

    and i may be taking my deer back from the farm, her other deer don't like it

    and we just ate my turkeys for the holidays

    but this summer i had 2 turkeys and a deer in the back yard

    now that is a zoo;)
