No new adds lately (trying to save for a new car). So here's some growth pics of the LPS's I added about 10 weeks ago

6 new heads on this acan!

It's hard to tell how many this one has, but you can see 3 nice sized ones coming up from underneath

In sadder news, I've been battling cyano in the sand again lately. Time to bring the GFO back once again and maybe get another bottle of Microbe-Lift Special Blend bacteria. Worked last time, lol

Been keeping levels pretty stable at
Calcium: 400 (dose 180mL every weekend to keep it stable)
Alk: 7.4-8.0 dkh (dose 20mL slowly twice a day to keep it there)
    Mag: ~1300
    pH: 8.15-8.30 monitored by apex
    temp: 77.5-79.5 monitored by apex
Nitrate stays below 10ppm test it right before WC's
Phos: Hanna reads 0.00-0.02 but I know it's there b/c of the cyano

Everything looks great, Logan! I wish my LPSs grow like yours..

The nitrates are tad high, for the maturity (8 months old) of your tank. This might be causing the cyano as well. Other than that, the param is great (but you know that). What I did was aggressive 10% water change, siphoning out the cyano patches on the sand, like every 4~5 days.

Thanks Shin good point! I've got WC's down to a pretty painless process by now so that's a good idea for awhile. Another thing I just thought of is my RO/DI filters might need replaced soon. I've had a dual line TDS meter (for months :p) I need to hook up into the unit to tell, just been too lazy. I just drop it into the bucket for a reading, getting 3-4 ppm now.

Thanks John! It's nice to see things growing a little for sure!

I can usually tell when something is off by looking at the corals, the water quality indicator for me is the stylo.
It was only a month ago when the nitrates were finally undetectable by the RedSea kit. (They had been hovering around 0.75~1.0ppm)

You like the redsea kit? I need to replace my API. I'm terrible at guessing colors on a chart

Oh I thought you had the ReaSea (or something better than API), and yes I like it! No more color guessing game!!
