    Is it something that I should be concerned about the way I would a mantis or aptasia or should I care less like with the ghost shrimp and bristleworms?

    Colonial hydroids can be a menace, but those are really the only ones that go crazy in an aquarium. I would remove them anyway just for peace of mind if it is bothering you, should come right off when you rub them.

    Are they ever harmful to anything? Cant find the snail again he buries all the time so he is hard to spot, that and with so many and so many rocks when he does come out Im lucky to find that one

    maybe I dont think so. I would just remove it from him quick so you dont have to worry, it should only take a second.
