OK, my bad guys, boss keep walking by (8)). It was actualy 2 in 1's idea for the 4 bulb arrangement. Try the configuration the guys with 6 & 8 bulb fixtures have using those Fiji purple bulbs. You could do a search for "T5 fixtures & bulbs" on here & I'm sure the thread will pop up. It even has pics of tanks with different configurations & all. If I can, I'll post the link.

I dunno, my fixture is all built into one unit with the top to the tank, cooling fans, ballast, a timer, moonlights, and skimmer access panel, so I haven't used any fixtures or hanging devices/methods before lol.

If you got that kinda cash to burn on tubular tin, then go for it. Why don't you try one of those cool systems and hang & suspend from the ceiling. Just find the rafters & you got it. (you do have rafters, right?). Your 24" fixture is light enough and these work real well.

You could probably take some PVC pipe and make one of your own on the cheap, and then you get to make it any color you want.

All it takes is some PVC pipe, 2 elbows, a drill for the wires and some glue....

    | <Drill hole here for the wire to go thru
    | <-PVC

    .........^ PVC
