I have a 72g bowfront. I am looking at a DIY retrofit from ahsupply.com. I am trying to decide between buying 4x55w or 2x96w.

What is better? The 4x55 which would fill the length of my tank end to end in two rows. The 2x96 which would leave off 6 inches on each side. Would that cause a dark spots on each end?

I'm thinking of leaving space in the middle for MH in the near future.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

    Matt

If you're deciding between T5s and PCs....then go T5 all the way.

Also really depends on what corals you plan to keep, or have?

I hope to keep fish and some soft corals, I will also at an MH I was thinking one 250w.

The total would be ~200w in PC or T5 and 250w in MH.

T5s are way more effecient, produce less heat, and penetrate the water deeper than PC
