Is 8 hours a day enough for my coral? I have 2 sps, and the rest are softies and LPS. I turn the lights on at 2:30, and they go off generally around 10:30 (if I'm home).
How much does a timer cost at Wal-mart? xD

Hi, Chance. Most people suggest 8-10hrs per day for a lighting cycle. but this will depend on your light fixture.

    I think you have a 2 bulb T5?

    Hey chance,
    What are your lights?
Where are your SPS placed and LPS?

A cheapy timer from walmart or Lowes is under $5 I believe, but you will need to adjust the time on it every now and again.

Yeah I noticed this too. I bought a Brinks timer at Walmart for $4 and change. Helps so much. Lights are on for 8 and a half hours every day, and everything looks great!
