As a fish they bug me. I always have issues with them being pigs, some can get mean. To me the color and look they bring to the tank is not worth their attitude. Rather save the tank for something that is kool. IMO they are just over rated and people like them, cause they are hardy and finding nemo. So no really solid reason, besides I just dont like them. Thats it, nothing more

This is very true, my Kenya's are out of control. I have so many now I occasionally have to cut them back and simply throw them away. In the places I cut them new ones come back. They seem to reproduce just as fast as aptaisia

its funny we moved my buddies tank, he had a couple kenyas in the sand. They stayed in the sand the whole couple hours with almost no water coverage. they lived, and we were pissed

It is called kenya TREE! lol ...;D
I like it myself, what it lacks in color,it makes up in swaying movement,it's easily trimmed, grows fast and a very hardy nutrient consumer. But yes,if let go they will "drop bombs" everywhere and can spread quickly.

If you like it then get it. Keep in mind as you can see from many posts....you can probably find a local reefer who would be willing to give you some kenya tree for free just to get some out of their tanks.

I have a couple pieces of it and its under control.
