    Yeah! Have you seen on some of the nano forums? People are DIYing LED hoods with like, one and two dozen LEDs! It's pretty craaaazzzyyyy!!! ;D

    But as far as LEDs go. Lets see next to no heat, very very long life, and the ability to wave solder them in to any odd corner or hex tank you have. You could aslo wire them in any number of way to create true and graduall diming. Your see them in traffic lights and car tail lights. The clock is ticking on normal light bulbs

    With the amount of LEDs currently needed, heat is a major factor. They're not all that cool. If you went with a bunch of Luxeon 5w'ers, you'd get the PAR needed, along with the same amount of heat as a MH :D
