    19 was the number of drops used to get colors to change, the chart only gives readings for 12 drops. Started tank a few weeks before joining 3reef in 2006

    So... Are you dosing? If not, what salt are you using? What is your salinity, and how do you check it?

    Dosing with a tsp vodka a day for 90 gal. Salinity 1.023 with hydrometer. Petco salt

    Sorry, I meant dosing calcium/alkalinity. I would get your salinity verified. Your numbers seem much too high to be at 1.023.

    Like Corailline suggested , I didn't do anything ,but test. looks like Alk is headed down. Still dkh is at 14 but that's better then the original 19. The rest of my parameters are, as of now Ph- 8.04, Cal. 480, Ammonium 0.0, Nitrite 0.0, Nitrate 0.0, Phosphate 1.0, Salinity 31, Specific gravity 1.023. Just wanted to give a update these results might help others . Thanks All

    Let me confess. I'm not doing everything high-end :oops: So the salt is Petco brand:eek:

    Next time you do a water change test the new batch prior to adding the water to the display.
