Thanks all and thanks for posting that link Gresham.

I really was blown away by the DiCon tour. It was hard to cover the whole experience in this 1 post and all the details but I hope you got a sense of the scale of the place and how high tech it is.

I tried to get as much detail about the Kessil A150 as I could. Combing over it, I made a few edits today:
    1) I got my passive/active cooling backwards. I corrected that.
    2) I mentioned each chip having a particular color temp - I should have said spectrum or wavelength. Corrected.
    3) Math was off on lifetime of lamp - it works out to 7 years at 12 hours a day.

That said - as Gresham posted - some Kessil A150 may already be available. Be sure to PM me if you get one and post about it so I can check out your feedback!

    Thanks again,

    matt

Jeremy from BAR (VP) won one of the ones from BAYMAC and there are some other BAR members with them. Thus far the reports are very good. Neptunes loves their unit. These were from the first batch ;) Heck we gave away 1 as a door prize and had two as raffle prizes (volunteer raffle and main raffle) at BAYMAC!!!

Thanks Clark. I tried to cover a lot.

Yeah Jeremy was talking up the coloring of his SPS at the meeting. Sounds like I should have been on time to BAYMAC. :)

I would not be surprised if they're plotting world domination from inside their headquarters... such a massive place is intimidating to say the least.

So... let me get this right... they come available in different colors and spectrums, but I would only need 2 to cover my 48" long X 12" wide X 20" deep?

By their max spread numbers then, yes, two A150s.

Why 3, Seano? How long/wide is your tank?

The tank is a 75gallon. 48" long x 18" wide x 21" high. It will be mostly SPS so I want to be sure I have good coverage.

What corals are in your tank?
